Haramara Retreat in Sayulita, Mexico, is unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed before. This health spa as well as yoga retreat center totally blows my mind.

I’ll be staying right here with Nourish Retreats for the next week.  You’ll hear much much more about Nourish Retreats as well as my Sayulita trip in the coming days!

Terri as well as Kim, the founders as well as co-owners of Nourish Retreats, wished to discover a resort location that was sustainable as well as linked to the environment. Haramara Retreat definitely fits that — the resort was developed into the land!  It’s the most environmentally mindful resort I’ve ever seen besides the Alam Sari in Bali.

Beyond that, they desired a location well-suited for a yoga retreat.

Hello, yoga pavilion!

It doesn’t hurt that Haramara Retreat is, well, absolutely GORGEOUS.

I’m staying in the dormitory – however have you ever seen a dorm this beautiful?

Everything is open-air, including the two bathrooms.  So each morning, we wake as much as this lovely view:

However, as Terri as well as Kim looked for the suitable location for Nourish Retreats, they were browsing many of all for the one thing that can make or break a yoga retreat: great FOOD.

Oh, the food at Haramara Retreat is good.  The food is SO good.

The food is organic, mainly vegetarian – sometimes they’ll pick up the freshest fish of the day in town – as well as mostly dairy- as well as gluten-free.

And every day, we get three-course lunches as well as three-course dinners.  Here’s what we had for dinner on our very first night:

Appetizer: Tabouleh salad with quinoa.

Entrée: vegetable “ravioli” made from beets as well as great deals of other vegetables.

Dessert: Tiramisu!

Every meal is served with tasty vegetable dips, like zucchini as well as carrot, as well as fruit-flavored water, like mango!  I’ve been stuffing my deal with in that unattractive method that I do at every great meal — however I feel so healthy doing it!

Here’s the craziest part of all:

Haramara Retreat is an electricity-free resort.

Of course, the important areas like the kitchen area have electricity, however the casitas as well as the primary areas do not.  So when you come here, you have no option however to unplug.

And yes, that implies that we light candles.

And oil lamps.

Additionally, the nearest WiFi is a 20-minute walk away in Sayulita town.  If you understand me, you understand that I never go off the grid for long, as well as living without close-by WiFi is something that I just don’t do.  Ever.

But I have to admit – it’s good to get away. I can’t keep in mind the last time I felt this relaxed.  Maybe last December in Don Det, Laos.

And to top things off, we have a beautiful personal beach where we do our morning boot camps.  There’s nothing like a refreshing run into the ocean to great off!

There’s so much that I look ahead to this week.  As I publish this, we’re going surfing in Punta de Mita, as well as on Friday, I’m having an astrological reading!  In between, we have morning boot camps on the beach as well as yoga each afternoon, as well as so numerous health spa treatments are available.

Haramara Retreat blows me away, as well as my fellow retreat guests agree. After stating goodnight, blowing the last oil lamp, as well as listening to the ocean waves, one of my roommates spontaneously burst out with, “I just like this place.”

I might not agree more.

I’m going to the Haramara Retreat as a guest of Nourish Retreats.  All opinions, as always, are my own.
