A fine WINE, A speaking gig and MELBOURNE gets ITS little blog BIGGED
last week was just like my mum: short but sweet! It was also extremely full… which doesn’t really work with my mum analogy anymore.
With Sydney’s public holiday on Monday, everything we had to do got squished into just 4 days, which is never easy. 5 days isn’t easy so 4 is ridiculous. We did it though and here’s the result.
Hope you delight in this week’s Instagram Diary. x
After a crazy Tuesday – which is also serving as a Monday this week, Mrs romance and I have chose it’s well and really time for a midweek picnic.
To me this is exactly what Tuesdays ought to be about: a bottle of wine, some cheese and a view like this.
The red wine is from Wither Hills – an outstanding example of a new Zealand Pinot Noir. Marlborough region red wine is so good.
We love Wither Hills because of their easy-going method to enjoying wine. They embrace that ‘for times when time doesn’t matter’ view of wine. That’s exactly how we’re feeling now we’re seeing the end to a frantic day.
This morning, Mrs romance and I are exploring the laneways of Balmain. There are so numerous cute old houses here – it’s brought on another bout of Mrs R’s door fetish. She loves taking photos of interesting old doors. They do photograph well, I should say. I think she ought to make a book on them.
Mrs romance and Carly from Smaggle.com are getting very thrilled about this coming weekend. It’s the first in their newest little blog big campaign and it’s kicking off in Melbourne.
I’ve been listening to some of their rehearsals and I think this set of workshops is going to be the best yet!
Today we’re really really excited.
Another of our messages on Cuba has been published over on our travel idol site yTravel Blog! This one’s all about the places to go to and which ones to avoid when you’re in Cuba. check out the story here.
We loved being in Cuba so much. It’s an amazing place.
As a supporting piece to our guest short article on yTravel, we’ve also put together an image post of our time there. Here’s our Postcards from Cuba post.
Mrs romance has been asked to speak in the panel for The Remarkables Group’s first Ingage event. It’s an educational talk about how to work in the digital space and also how bloggers work. very interesting!

The Remarkables have sent these beautiful flowers to Mrs romance for her remarkable performance at the Ingage event last night.
Unfortunately she’s not in town to delight in them as she’s already left for Melbourne and her little blog big workshop. I’m not much of a flower arranger (always something else to learn how to do!) but I think I’ve done ok here!
Mrs romance is up very early this morning (check out those long shadows!) before her little blog big seminar. She’s found her way to the park in Carlton and the beautiful royal exhibition building.
And they’re off! Mrs romance and Smaggle doing their thing at little blog big Melbourne! and in the middle there the beautiful Liz from ISpyPlumPie.com! look how much fun they’re having. meanwhile I’m stuck at home in Sydney.

When I say ‘stuck at home’ things aren’t that bad. and I’m not lonely – made friends with this little character today!
After a busy Sunday decompressing after yesterday’s little blog big session, Mrs Romance, Smaggle, Liz from ISpyPlumPie.com and Tahlia from TahliaMeredith.com have found time in their schedule to pop a bottle of rose and munch on all the good things at the Fitzroy Beer Garden. looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it?
Back in Sydney, the clouds have descended and it’s looking like it’s going to be a wet Sunday night for me…
How was your short week and – no doubt – even shorter weekend? tell us in the comments!
